The Department of Meteorology said today that the planet Sun is going to be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka during April 5 and 15 in this year on the apparent northward relative motion of the sun.
The nearest areas of Sri Lanka over which the sun is overhead tomorrow (05th), are Hambantota, Katudampe, Nakiyadeniya and Maliduwa about 12:13 noon.
Meanwhile showers or thundershowers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western, Uva and Southern provinces and in the Ampara district after 2.00p.m.
A few showers can be expected in the South-Western coastal areas during the morning too.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
