The education syllabus and exam questions will be restructured in order to ease the pressure faced by students due to exams, Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said.
The Education Minister made this remark while addressing a Grade One induction ceremony at the Ganegoda Primary School in Giriulla.
Minister Kariyawasam also said that measures are being taken to reduce the number of subjects for the G.C.E Ordinary Level Examinations.
He said that the number of compulsory subjects which is nine at present will be reduced to six in due course.
