Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has said that terrorist groups will not be granted an opportunity to disrupt the development, economic growth, and the day-to-day activities of the country.
Addressing an event in Ratnapura today (May 12), the Prime Minister assured that peace has been restored in the country and emphasised that the country's unity must not be affected by certain unverified stories which are being shared among public circles.
"The people must resume their daily activities in order to contribute to the country's growth," Mr. Wickremesinghe pointed out adding that the aim of terrorists who carried out the recent attacks had been to disrupt the country's peace, unity and the economic growth.
He reiterated that the country's development must not be backtracked based on the recent tragic incidents.
