A three-day relief period has been granted from 6 am today (May 11) to provide information on the storage of explosives without valid licenses, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said today.
During this period, the public will be able to notify the OIC of their nearest police station on an individual or a storage facility in which explosives are stored illegally or without a valid license.
All police stations across the country have been briefed on the measures which must be taken after receiving such information, Spokesman Gunasekara said in a press release.
Accordingly, this relief period is set to end at 6 am on May 14.
