At least three people were killed while five others were injured in an accident on the Ratnapura – Colombo main road. This accident occurred at 5.30a.m today (Feb 24) when a lorry transporting employees to a tea factory collided with another lorry parked on the road. Police Media Unit reported that the second lorry was stationary due to a technical fault. Police reported that the three victims included one male and two females. The injured were admitted to the Ratnapura hospital. Police are conducting further investigations.
