A three-member committee has been appointed to probe into allegations of misusing a stock of dry rations in the North, Mullativu District Secretary R.Ketheeswaran said.
The dry rations were expected to be provided as relief to the victims of the areas which were battered by the floods.
Ms. Ketheeswaran said that several residents in Mullativu had complained that they did not receive the relief items in a proper manner.
The residents had also claimed that the Grama Sevakha of Mulliyawalai, Mullativu had acted in an unorganised manner while distributing relief items during the floods.
Accordingly, an investigation into these complaints is currently underway.
