A trader was arrested in Galgamuwa for unlawfully selling agrochemicals during a raid carried out by security personnel yesterday (Dec 30), Navy said.
At the time of the arrest, Navy and Special Task Force officers had recovered 610 packets of these chemicals weighing upto 61 kilograms from the suspect.
The suspect, a 42-year old resident of Galmaduwa, has been handed over to the Department of Agriculture for relevant action.
