The police will introduce a special traffic arrangement owing to the visit of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, tomorrow (March 24). Traffic will be restricted on the following roads From 1.30p.m. to 2.30p.m. access road to Colombo from Katunayake International Airport will be closed. In addition, road from the Expressway through Baseline road, Borella through Orugodawatta, D.S. traffic lights, Horton Place, road in front of Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre, Liberty roundabout in Colpetty, St. Michael roundabout, Colpetty- Galle road and Galle Face roundabout to N.S.A roundabout will be closed. Road will be closed from N.S.A roundabout through Galle Face roundabout, Colpetty- Galle road, St. Michael roundabout, Liberty roundabout in Colpetty, road in front of Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre, Horton Place, D.S. traffic lights , Borella through Orugodawatta and Baseline road to the Expressway from 3.45p.m. to 4.45p.m. The exit road from the express way to Katunayake International Airport will also be closed from 3.45p.m. to 4.45p.m. Police are encouraging public to use alternative roads during above specified time periods, as heavy traffic has been predicted in afore mentioned roads.
