Health authorities have identified 12 new COVID-19 patients so far today (22), Director General of Health Services Dr Anil Jasinghe stated.
Eleven of the patients identified today are residents of Beruwala presently under quarantine at the Batticaloa Quarantine Centre. The 12th patient is undergoing treatment at the Polonnaruwa hospital.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 patients in the country to 322.
Dr Jasinghe further said that a 104 patients have now recovered from the disease and have been discharged from hospital.
