Two local fishermen who were illegally transferring sea cucumbers in the coastal area of Erambugodella yesterday arrested by Naval personnel attached Northwestern Naval Command in Kalpitiya.
During the arrest 770 kg of dry sea cucumbers were taken into custody. The arrested persons and the haul of sea cucumbers were produced to the Puttalam Assistant Directorate of Fisheries for onward action.
