A group of naval personnel attached to the North Central Naval Command together with Mannar Narcotics Division, conducted a joint raid and apprehended two suspects with 135 kg of Kerala Cannabis on Saturday following a tip-off, Navy said.
The suspects were apprehended while they were transferring the stock of cannabis by a Bolero Cab near Swamithottam Church in Talaimannar. The consignment had been stocked in 59 packages. The arrested suspects, vehicle and the stock of cannabis were handed over to the Mannar Police for onward investigations.
