A Ukranian woman has been nabbed with 20 gold biscuits weighing 2.3 kilos concealed in her footwear at the Bandaranaike International Airport today (Nov 13).
She had been arrested by the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) upon arrival from Bangalore, India, at around 4:30 am. Investigations have shown that the woman had visited Sri Lanka twice previously.
PNB officers have handed over the woman to the Customs Department for further investigations.
