Ranasinge Arachchige alias 'Banda' who was attached to underworld leader 'Makandure Madush' has died following a shoot-out with the police on October 4.
The incident took place when police officers of the Organized Crimes Division had attempted to arrest him.
It is reported that the deceased had actively participated in organizing the funeral of the 'Makandure Madush's' father who passed away on 28 August.
