The inaugural rally organized by the united opposition against the proposed mechanism to investigate the alleged war crimes will be held in Colombo today. The rally is expected to commence at 3.00pm at the Viharamahadevi Open Air Theatre. The 'united opposition calls the proposed mechanism a 'hybrid court'. Several individuals, including National Freedom Front (NFF) leader Wimal Weerawansa, Pivithuru Hela Urumaya leader Udaya Gammanpila, Dinesh Gunawardena, Prof. Tissa Witharana, Vasudeva Nanayakkara, DEW Gunasekara, Prof. G.L Peiris, Asanga Nawaratna and Tissa Aththanayake are expected to address the rally.
