A protest by university non-academic staff in front of the University Grants Commission (UGC), is currently underway and causing heavy traffic at Ward Place in Colombo
According to reports the University non-academic staff, who are currently on strike, are staging the protest to draw attention to the payment of their Monthly Compensatory Allowance (MCA)
A protest was held in front of Attorney General’s Department Colombo today by a group of individuals calling for the Removal of the Attorney General Parinda Ranasinghe .
Meteorology Department forecasted that showers will occur at times in Northern, North-central, Eastern and Northwestern provinces and in Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
