Update: Police curfew lifted in Chilaw, Kuliyapitiya, Bingiriya, and Dummalasuriya
A police curfew which was imposed in the Kuliyapitiya, Bingiriya, and Dummalasuriya areas was lifted at 6 am today (May 13) , police said.
Further, the curfew which was imposed within the city limits of Chilaw after a tense situation broke out last evening was also called off at 4 am.
However, no incidents had been reported since the curfew had been imposed in these areas, police said.
