Parliamentarians representing the United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) would decide on their voting stance of the annual budget by tomorrow afternoon, Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Youth Front Chairman MP Shantha Bandara said.
MP Bandara added that the group of UPFA parliamentarians would call on President Maithripala Sirisena this evening and would make their final decision following a meeting with Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa at the parliamentary complex tomorrow.
He also predicted that the budgetary stipulations for the ministries which come under the purview of President Sirisena would win over the stipulatory allocations for other ministries.
"Those who are in need of interrupting the President's anti-narcotic programme are the ones who claim that the allocations for the President's ministries would be defeated" Mr. Bandara further said.
He made these remarks at a press briefing that was held at the SLFP headquarters in Colombo today (Mar 04).
