Veteran film director, cinematographer, Editor and Producer D. B. Nihalsinghe has passed away at the age of 77, local media reported.
He was a pioneer who introduced professional television production to Sri Lanka, and was behind the first Color teledrama “ Dimuthu Muthu” .
He was the founding Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of the Sri Lanka’s National Film Corporation and a distinguished alumni of the then University of Ceylon, Peradeniya (presently University of Peradeniya).
