Veteran musician Sisira Senaratne has passed away today at Colombo National Hospital. He was 80 at the time of his demise, family sources said. As a noted singer in 1960s he also directed music for movies. He was married to singer Indrani Wijebandara. He has sung many popular songs such as Olu Nelum Neliya, Seeta Diyareli, Nuhuru Nupuruda, Mage Puthuta Mal, Gaya Geethayan Game wel Eliye. Funeral will take place at the Borella General Cemetery on Saturday.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
