Average island-wide voter turnout for the 2020 parliamentary election has passed 50% by 2.00pm today.
Voter turnout as at 2.00pm is as follows: Colombo 51%, Galle 55%, Vanni 55%, Ratnapura 55%, Jaffna 50%, Kurunegala 55%, Digamadulla 41%, Gampaha 53%, Batticaloa 55%, Nuwara Eliya 65%, Kalutara 60%, Hambantota 60%, Matale 58%, Matara 54%, Trincomalee 50, Anuradhapura 50%, and Puttalam 52%,
A protest was held in front of Attorney General’s Department Colombo today by a group of individuals calling for the Removal of the Attorney General Parinda Ranasinghe .
