Twenty -five students at the Samaneliya Maha Vidyalaya in Maskeliya, Hatton were attacked by wasps, local media reported.
The students were at the playground at the time of the wasp attack. The school has been closed temporarily on the advice of the Hatton Zonal Education Director.
The students are now receiving treatment at the Maskeliya rural hospital.
