Western Provincial Council Chairman Sunil Wijeratne has crossed over to the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) yesterday (Jul 10).
He had crossed over from the United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) by citing that the party had been moving away from the people, the SLPP said in a media release.
Wijeratne had obtained his membership from Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday.
