Navy personnel in the Eastern Naval Command yesterday rescued a Whale Shark that was stranded at the Alampil beach in Mulathivu.
According to press release issued by the Sri Lanka Navy, the rescue operation was carried out by the Navy following an instruction given by the Mulathivu Fisheries Inspector Mohan Kumara
The distressed Shark was then guided three nautical miles into the sea by the Navy personnel.
