Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran today requested President Maithripala Sirisena to refix the date for a meeting as he was admitted to Jaffna teaching hospital due to brief illness, provincial sources said. A fax message with regard to postponing the meeting was sent from Chief Minister's office today.
Earlier, a high level meeting with President and Prime Minister was scheduled at the President Secretariat today over the issues of releasing more lands and recent moves to acquire more land by defence authorities. Jaffna Teaching Hospital sources said that Chief Minister was admitted to hospital yesterday night and he was discharged today.
