Women in Jaffna held with Rs 40 million gold biscuits
A 54 years old woman was taken into custody in Chavakacheri, Jaffna today with seventy gold biscuits, each weighing hundred grams, police said.
A senior officer at the Jaffna police said that the woman who is from Mathagal was involved in smuggling gold to India. The gold seized worth nearly Rs. 40 million.
