The Colombo Swimming Club recently launched its newly constructed swimming pool complex yesterday.
According to a media release issued by the CSC, the Swimming pool underwent a 15-month long process of successful refurbishment thanks to the Committee that was headed by its President.
While the old pool and fountain have gone, there is now a larger landscaped area for members and their guests to enjoy the Ocean breeze, while savouring great cocktails, food and company, the release stated. New and tasteful outdoor furniture has also enhanced the look and style of this popular entertainment area.
In addition to the swimming pool complex, the kitchen has been completely refurbished. So, too, the Arthur’s Space restaurant named after British science fiction writer and former CSC Member, Arthur C. Clarke, the restaurant has been elevated to the same level as the terrace and boasts a completely new-look that includes an air-conditioned dining area. The à la carte menu has been put together by master chefs specializing in inter-continental cuisine.
The swimming pool complex revolves around its Olympic short course-sized 25-meter pool, six-lanes, complete with fiber-optic lighting. The adjoining children’s pool features an array of water slides. There is also a small four-person Jacuzzi, a half-sized basketball court that is meshed in and a large children’s indoor playroom.
The CSC is in the process of introducing one of the latest ERP systems to help data management and tracking systems.
