STF arrests man with foreign firearm

A 39 year old was arrested for the possession of a firearm and live ammunition, by the Special Task Force Intelligence Division at Bulathsinhala on September 13.

According to information received by the officers of STF Intelligence Division, a team of officers including Police Inspector Rajanayake of STF Intelligence Division conducted a raid in a house in the Eggaloya area of Bulathsinhala.

Consequently, a 39 year old resident of Eggaloya, who was in possession of a foreign produced firearm, 4 live bullets and two vehicle number plates, was arrested and handed over to the Bulathsinhala Police.
