Sri Lanka Badminton’s Federation’s (SLBF) fate of participation at next September’s Asian Games, a major multinational meet, lies in the hands of Sports Ministry and National Olympic Committee, Palitha Hettiarachchi, an official of the SLBF ex-co, said.
“Due to financial constraints, we have requested for a slot, however, we’re yet to hear from them”, he added.
Despite the suspense surrounding the postponed-meet to be worked off in China, SLBF will be going into the new year with still a crowded schedule, though, starting only from February.
Starting late, however, they will be concluding the calendar on a packed note, with December having as many as seven overseas tours.
