Sports Diary for this week

The three-match One Day International (ODI) series between the visiting India and Sri Lanka will begin on Friday (2) at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo, followed by the second game on Sunday (4) and the third and final game on Wednesday (7) at the same venue.

The Dialog Schools Rugby League continues with the final week fixtures with eight games scheduled – four each on Saturday (3), and Sunday (4). These fixtures were supposed to be played on the fourth week of the league, but due to the competition facing a one-week stall, they were postponed for the final week of the first round.

Colombo Rowing Club will host the 83rd annual Madras-Colombo Rowing Regatta on the Beira Lake starting from 1:00pm.

The resumed SLC Major League Limited Overs 2024 competition will see the finale of the group games before reaching the semi-final stage next week.
