The International Schools Athletics Championships (ISAC) 2017 will be held from February 25 to 27 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Sports Complex in Diyagama.
Apart from the All Island School Games conducted by the Ministry of Education, the ISAC rates as the next big Meet, and is the biggest in the ISA Calendar.
This 3-day event, staged annually from 2001, will host over 2,000 Athletes from 24 schools.
This Meet was the brainchild of the Late R.I.T. Alles of Gateway College.
There will be 130 events under various age groups and over 300 officials attached to the Athletics Association of Sri Lanka, will officiate at the Meet.
This time the Meet is organised by Lyceum International School Nugegoda, for the 8th time. Gateway and Lyceum have been alternately staging this event.
Last year, the overall championship was won by Lyceum International Wattala with Gateway International as the overall runners-up.
