The Hatton National Bank basketball team bagged the Eleventh Ram Ratnavale Mercantile Championships conducted by the Mercantile Basketball Association defeating Commercial Credit 57-48 in the final.
At the first quarter HNB led 8-5, 22-15 at the second quarter and 37-30 in the third quarter. The final score was 57-48 in favour of HNB.
In the preliminary rounds HNB beat NTB 43-38. In the semis HNB beat Seylan Bank 62-42.
The top scorers in the final for HNB were Umanga de Zoysa (17), Kumarine Silva (16) and HNB skipper Anjali Ekanayake (14).
