Udesh Chandima partnered by Dineth Dulakshana of Sri Lanka Air Force recorded an easy win by beating Anas Ahamed and Suraj Maduwantha of Sri Lanka Army 2-0 (25/03, 25/23) at Men’s Doubles Finals of the 18th President Cup Carrom Championship conducted by Carrom Federation of Sri Lanka.
Over three hundred competitors representing island-wide participated at this tournament which was worked-off in four events in Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles took place at the Kohuwala Headquarters of Carrom Federation of Sri Lanka from the day of October 13.
The Women's Double combination of Yasika Rahubadda and Chalani Lakmali of the Air Force won the Women’s Doubles finals beating Maduwanthi Gunadasa and M. Chitradevi of Army convincingly 2-0 (25/13, 25/04) at the Women’s Doubles finals in this tournament.
M. Sherifdeen and Charith Madushanka of Army won Men’s Doubles Third Place 2-1 (13/25, 25/8, 25/17) while Joseph Roshita of Sri Lanka Navy and Tharushi Himahansika of Mahamnaya Balika Vidyalaya, Nugegoda won Women’s Doubles Third Place 2-0 (25/17, 25/5).
Men’s and Women’s preliminary rounds of the Men's and Women's commenced this weekend and Finals will be on November 3 and 4 at the Headquarters of Carrom Federation in Kohuwala.
