Sri Lankan skipper Dinesh Chandimal has been ruled out of the Test series versus England after having failed the fitness test conducted by the SLC yesterday (Nov 20).
Accordingly, Chandimal will miss the third Test that is set to commence on Novmeber 23 at the SSC in Colombo.
Chandimal's fitness had always been under a cloud of doubt as he was ruled out of the second Test match after he sustained a groin injury during the first Test played at Galle.
Suranga Lakmal is expected to lead the Lankan side in the absence of Chandimal during the third Test
