Cricket: AIA Twenty20 semi-finals on Saturday
The two semi-finals of the AIA Premier Inter-Club Twenty20 Cricket Championship will be played at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo on Saturday (23).
Accordingly Tamil Union will take on NCC in the first semi-final, which will begin from 9.30am while the second semi-final, scheduled for 2.00pm, will be played between SSC and Army SC.
On Thursday (21) Tamil Union, NCC, SSC and Army SC advanced to the semi-finals after recording wins in the final first round games played.
Army SC beat Group ‘A’ leaders Tamil Union by 1 wicket at NCC grounds as both teams made it to the semi-final stage.
From Group ‘B’ NCC beat Ragama CC by 4 wickets at Colts grounds to join leaders SSC to the semi-final stage.
The final of the competition will be played at the same venue on Sunday (24).
