The Auditor General, Gamini Wijesinghe, has made a visit to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) today (1) and had held discussions with its officials and senior staff members in conducting its Forensic Audit Report.
"The Auditor General of Sri Lanka Mr. Gamini Wijesinghe, met with the Chief Operating Officer of the SLC Mr. Jerome Jayaratne who held positive discussions with the Auditor General," SLC issuing a media communiqué, stated.
"During discussions, Mr Jayaratne informed the Auditor General that the SLC Executive Committee at their meeting held on the 25th February 2019, directed the Senior Management of the SLC to extend their fullest corporation and assistance in conducting of the Forensic Audit of the SLC accounts into the period of 2016-2018; a move initiated by the Minister of Telecommunications, Foreign Employment and Sport, Honorable Harin Fernando," it added.
