Test opener Kaushal Silva has been given the opportunity to lead the Sri Lanka Emerging team against the touring South Africa Emerging team in the upcoming 4-day match to be played this weekend.
Former Richmond College skipper Charith Asalanka has been named as the vice captain of the team.
The team includes up and coming players from the system apart from seniors Silva, Malinda Pushpukumara and Lahiru Gamage.
The first 4-day match will be played at the BOI ground in Katunayake from Thursday (26).
