Sri Lanka spinner Tharindu Kaushal has undergone a series of tests on Monday (14) after being reported on his bowling action after the concluded home Test series against India. “National cricketer P.H.T. Kaushal who was reported by the ICC for his bowling action recently successfully completed his official bowling test at the ICC accredited testing center in Chennai, India yesterday, the September 14, 2015. Kaushal was accompanied by Piyal Wijetunge (National Spin Bowling Coach) and Jerome Jayaratne (Head of Coaching and Interim Head Coach),” a press release issued by Sri Lanka Cricket stated. “Kaushal was tested for both his variation deliveries which is the off spinner and the doosra, though he was only reported for the 'doosra' delivery. However the ICC reserves the right to test all varieties of a bowler once reported. The outcome of the test results will be notified to SLC by the ICC authorities within a 14-day period,” the statement added.
