Mohammed Naizer of the Southern Province was elected President of the Sri Lanka Deaf Cricket Association at its Annual General Meeting held at the De Soysa Stadium, Moratuwa.
Mohammed Naizer has represented Sri Lanka in the team that toured Australia for the First Deaf Cricket World Cup held in Melbourne, Australia in 1995/1996.
Well known former Sports Star and experienced Sports Administrator Shivantha Vivekanandan, who has held the position of President for eight years, was appointed as a Consultant and Advisor to the Committee.
Shivantha has been a great asset to the Sri Lanka Deaf Cricket Association in the capacity as a Consultant in sharing and parting with his knowledge and competencies of guiding the new members.
