Moors Sports Club beat Nondescript Cricket Club (NCC) by 1-wicket in a thrilling final at the P. Sara Oval in Colombo today (27) to clinch the SLC Major League Twenty20 Championship.
Batting first NCC posted 173 for the loss of 7 wickets with Pathum Nissanka top scoring with 52 runs.
Opener Mahela Udawatte, Chathuranga de Silva and Dinesh Chandimal chipped in with useful knocks to help NCC post a challenging total.
Allrounder Adeesha Thilanchana, captured three scalps and returned to help Moors SC reach the target with the bat by chipping in 26.
Nimanda Madushanka top scored with 47 runs as Ramesh Mendis stayed on to see his side win with an unbeaten 32.
