President Maithripala Sirisena officially appointed the veteran cricketers Muttiah Muralitharan and TM Dilshan as the brand ambassadors of the National Kidney Fund which was established in line with the sustainable programme to control kidney disease, according to the concept of the President. The appointments were made before starting the Twenty-Twenty Cricket Match at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium on Saturday evening (1). President Sirisena also cordially welcomed the cricketers of the Sri Lanka and Pakistan teams who will be played the second Twenty20 match. Chairman Sri Lanka Cricket, Sidath Wettimuny presented a cheque for Rs. 1Million towards the Kind Project to the President. The President also inscribed a message in a souvenir to mark this occasion. Thereafter he joined the audience to watch the match.
