Police SC, Renown SC, Saunders SC and Colombo FC recorded wins in four Vantage FA Cup Championship football matches played at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Police defeated Negombo Youth 3-1 after the first half ended 1-1.
Goals were scored by M.J.R. Mohamed, Chathura Gunarathna and Riyas Mohamed in the 23rd, 83rd and 89th minutes for Police.
Christeen Fernando scored the solitary goal for Negombo Youth in the 36th minute.
Renown SC beat Air Force 4-0 after leading the first half 1-0.
Suraj Peiris scored a hat-trick for Renown SC in the 4th, 47th and 79th minutes while Dilan Madushanka scored a goal in the 83rd minute.
Saunders recorded a smashing 6-2 win against Eveready SC, after a hat-trick from experienced striker Kasun Jayasuriya.
The first half ended 2-1 as Jayasuriya struck thrice in the 47th, 74th and 93rd minutes fir Saunders.
In addition Chryshantha Abesekara (26th min), S. Niresh (45th min) and Sanoj Sameera (86th min) scored for Saunders.
Ramesh Kumara scored two goals in the 28th, 78th minutes for Eveready.
Colombo FC beat Java Lane by 3-1 after a goalless first half.
Mohamed Aakib, Buddhika Perera and Mohamed Fazal scored goals in 78th, 90+1st and 90+3rd minutes for Colombo FC.
Malaka Perera scored a goal in 62nd minute for Java Lane.
