The Anti-Corruption Unit of the International Cricket Council (ICC) carried out an unexpected search operation at the Kandalama Hotel where the Sri Lanka players are currently residing for their series against England, set to commence on Oct 10.
According to a source ICC Offcials arrived unannounced at the hotel and began going through the mobile phones of the Sri Lankan players.
Meanwhile it was reported that the officials from the Anti-corruption unit of the ICC recorded a statement from the Head of Provincial Coaches at the SLC Hemal Mendis regarding match fixing.
