The Sri Lanka Schools Karate Do Team left for Malaysia on Friday (21) to take part in the 6th International Karate Open Championship Tournament 2016, which will be held at the Teluk Intan Arena Square on Sunday (23).
A total of 34 athletes -- 20 boys and 14 girls -- will represent Sri Lanka in the tournament where Sachindu Dananga of Ananda College and Adithi Randeni of Ananda National School Chilaw are appointed as skippers of the boy's and girls' teams respectively.
The championship is organised by the International Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate Foundation of Malaysia.
