Despite a splendid bowling performance by Amalka Weerasinghe- 5/21 for Hemas Group (Hemas), Heshan Flexi snatched a heart-stopping 1-wicket win in a low-scoring,1st Coca Cola Beverages Sri Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. sponsored MCA 'D' Division 40-Over League Tournament 2019,continued last weekend.
Hemas were shot out for 93 runs in 24.1 overs, and Heshan Flexi huffed and puffed to score 97/9 in 21.5 overs.
Hirdaramani, riding on 2 half-centuries by Udesh Villegoda 75 and Mohamed Insaf 52, registered the highest total for the weekend- 280 in 39.4 overs, and went on to win by a huge margin of 131 runs over Delmege Group (Delmege).
The tournament will be continued this weekend with a card of 7 matches.
