The Asian Motor Racing Club (AMRC) and Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR), two of the most prestigious motor sports clubs in the country will unveil the CEAT-AMRC-SLARDAR Tarmac Championship 2015. The grand motor sports event will be held at the Katukurunda Race Track on Sunday (31) with the flag-off scheduled at 9.00am. All of Sri Lanka’s best racing drivers and riders will showcase their fully prepped up race cars and their driving capabilities under 15 different categories. Among the top events will be the infamous SLGT up to 3500cc event and the SL-H up to 1600cc event where over 20 each are expected to perform on both races. Motor cycles up to 1000cc and bikes up to 600cc also expecting to be of high glamour events. These will be supported by other regular car and bike events. Yet another fabulous attraction at the Katukurunda races will be the exhibition of the Porsche 919 Hybrid Race car. One main highlight of the day will be the motor cycle Thunder Flash show where few choreographed spectacular stunts by a team of over 40 riders is on show. This race will be the first round of the Sri Lanka Automobile Sports’ National Tarmac Championship 2015.
