Opener Upul Tharanga has been recalled into the Sri Lanka Test squad prior to the third and final match against Pakistan which begins on Friday (3) at Pallekele. He comes in as a replacement to Kumar Sangakkara, who has made himself unavailable for selection according to an Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) media release issued on Tuesday (30). “SLC Selector Committee has included Upul Tharanga into the squad for the third and final Test against Pakistan to be played in Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy. Tharanga comes in as a replacement to Kumar Sangakkara, who will not be available for selection for the final Test match,” it stated. The third and final Test starts on Friday with the series tied 1-1.
