Left-hand opener Upul Tharanga, the current ODI skipper, will continue as captain of the Sri Lanka team for the three-match Twenty20 series against Australia which begins next week.
Sri Lanka has brought back former T20 skipper, slinger Lasith Malinga to the side along with dashing opener Dilshan Munaweera, who also comes in handy as a spinner.
Among other inclusions are allrounder Milinda Siriwardana, Chamara Kapugedara, Isuru UDana and Dasun Shanaka.
The Twenty20 series will begin from February 17 at Melbourne followed by the second game at Geelong on February 19 and the final game at Adelaide on February 22.
