The Sri Lankan team will leave for England today in order to take part in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup which will be held in England and Wales this year.
The team will participate in a one week camp before heading to Scotland to play two ODIs. Sri Lanka’s opening World Cup match is against New Zealand on June 1, 2019.
Meanwhile, the official departure ceremony for the team was held at the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) headquarters last afternoon.
