A contingent of 14 Cadet and Junior Table Tennis players left the island on to take part in the 22nd Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championship 2016 to be held in Thailand from September 16 to 21.
Udaya Ranasinghe winner of three gold medals at the South Asian Games will lead the Junior Boys team and Hansani Piumila, two times gold medallist leads the Junior Girls team.
Helitha Hendawitharana and Thanushi Rodrigo will lead the Cadet Boys and Girls teams respectively.
A strong and an experienced Sri Lanka squad will make every effort to win the championship in their respective events.
