Vimarshana Gammanpila was elected the new president of the Mercantile Table Tennis Association – MTTA at its 58th Annual General Meeting held at the City League Football Club in Colombo. The meeting was chaired by the outgoing president Rajiva Wijetunge. After completing a successful event calendar MTTA has appointed a new committee for the year 2015/2016 term. The immediate past president Rajiva Wijetunge nominated and unanimously elected as the vice patron by the forum and he is currently actively participating in the Sri Lanka Table Tennis programmes as the President of Sri Lanka Table Tennis Association. Newly elected president Vimarshana Madushanka Gammanpila is the past vice president of Mercantile Table Tennis Association and he has served the committee as Secretary and Assistant Secretary since 2009. Currently he is re-presenting Dialog Axiata PLC and a winning member of Mercantile Table Tennis ‘C’ and ‘D’ divisions. He is the current vice president of Sri Lanka Table Tennis Association. The newly elected office bearers are Vimarshana Madushanka Gammanpila (President), Kasun Punchihewa (Secretary), Gamunu Prabath (Treasurer), M.R. Jabir (Patron), Rajiva Wijetunge (Vice Patron), Gamini Moraes, Priyantha Fernando and Ashan Wikramanayake (Vice Presidents), Prabashini Fernando (Assistant Secretary) and Jagath Priyankara (Assistant Treasurer).
